About This Site

Hi! I’m Giang, and I’ve been a UX designer since 2017. This blog is my space to explore the intersection of psychology and design.

Here, you’ll find me reflecting on specific aspects of apps, sharing insights from books and courses, and even drafting blue-sky ideas for how apps could evolve. My focus is primarily on how psychology, cognition, and human behavior influence design.

Why Psychology?

  • Apps should work for people—first and foremost. They should be designed with a deep understanding of human capacity and limitations.
  • But there’s more to it: I believe apps should also be thoughtful and promote well-being. Too many products today exploit our natural tendencies and encourage unhealthy behaviors. It might be idealistic, but I hope to see a day when psychology is used ethically for the betterment of humanity.

About Giang

Giang resides in Danang with her family, a lovely coastal city in central Vietnam. Outside of design, her daily hobbies are cleaning and organizing, ballet, and spiritual learning. She's a fan of whimsical illustration artists like Phoebe Wahl and watercolor artists like Andy Evansen. Her co-workers say she's very difficult to please, which she takes pride in because for her it means she's holding things to a high standard.
